You may find it useful to print and carry with you the following driving directions. The 1805 House Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located at 775 Snydertown Road in Claverack, New York (Columbia County) 2 miles west of the Taconic State Parkway. Heading north on the Taconic State Parkway, exit left at Snydertown Road. Proceed 2 miles on Snydertown Road and you will find us on the left side of the road. This exit is several miles north of and the 3rd exit after the Hudson/Ancram exit. I should mention one safety caveat. Since the median and turn area is very narrow at the Snydertown Road exit, with heavy traffic behind you and oncoming southbound traffic, you may wish to continue 3 tenths of a mile further north to make a left-side u-turn at Manor Rock Road and return south to make a right at Snydertown Road.

We are also approximately 1 mile south of State Route 23. Heading east about 5 miles from the 9H/23 intersection in the hamlet of Claverack on State Route 23, and approximately 500 yards after the Yorkshire Farms restaurant, make a right at Thielman Road Ext. (landmark: large brown building on right side). Proceed 200 yards and after you pass over a small bridge you will intersect with County Route 16. Make a right and proceed another 200 yards. Snydertown Road is your first left. Continue up the hill on Snydertown Road for 1 mile. 1805 House is located on the right side just beyond Bate Road Ext. If using a navigation system you may find 775 Snydertown Road is listed under the postal district of Craryville, NY 12521 though we are in the town of Claverack, NY 12513.

In the event you pass the exit off of State Route 23 heading east fear not as you will shortly reach the Taconic State Parkway where you can head south several miles and find on the right side the Snydertown Road exit just after Manor Rock Road. Turn right and proceed 2 miles to find us on the left side. Should the directions given above thoroughly have confused you please feel free to contact us for more and I dare say less bewildering details. :)
